Butoh is a powerful medium for presence and transformative embodiment. Your body, your experience, and your truth are at the center of this journey.

We explore dynamics and opposites — flow and form, light and shadow — and allow movement impulses and inner images to guide us toward authentic expression.

In slowness and emptiness, we transcend space and time, entering the mystery where the invisible and spiritual world reveals itself.

What moves me? What dances through me?

Dance becomes ritual — an embodied rite of passage, a devotion to life and to impermanence.

This space is for anyone navigating change and the unkown — whether in life, identity, or the body itself. No previous dance experience is needed. Only curiosity and an open heart.

We will be hosted by beautiful L’Embrasure Ballens Art Collective, different accommodation styls are offered and a fully equipped kitchen, where we will cook together our meals. Basically meals will be vegetarian.

YOUR FACILITATOR
Marius Soluna is a multidisciplinary artist and researcher in the field of visual poetry, body awareness and the healing potential of transformative dance.

His first encounter with Butoh dance was in 2005 at the Subbody School in the Indian Himalayas, a method that works with the subconscious, co-creation and resonance.

This was followed by further studies with various teachers in Europe – following the ritualized, shamanic approach to reconnect with the transcendental, ancestral and collective realm.

Since 2020, Marius Soluna has been developing his own methodology, which is constantly evolving.

Essenza – a creative, embodied and deep transformative dance practice for exploring the inner landscapes of body and soul.

He regularly offers courses, seminars and performs in Europe.
In 2022 he organized the first Butoh Festival with international artists in Bern, Switzerland.
